Hey there!! You have it really lucky down there if you're only looking at approx $1000 to start up!! It cost me approx $5000 to set up my truck with all the signs and lights that are mandatory in Western Canada and Alaska! We also need 2 VHF radios in addition to the CB--as our CB's won't work much of the time in our mountainous terrain. Wonderful life though!! Been at it for just over 10 years now.
